This blog is showing a selection of wanderdrawing project works of Yvonne van den Herik, made throughout 2011. Including the RE-VIEW (1st stage*) works and the drawings for EEN-ODE-AAN. All works are drawn on a digital tablet, freehand, with a pressure sensitive pen.
WANDERDRAWING is the natural way of working of Yvonne van den Herik, her innate and advanced ‘method’ of intuitively observing-by-drawing (which is, simultaneously, intuitively drawing-by-observing), as well as the name of the art projects, she initiates to practice it more thoroughly and to create independent platforms and conditions for ongoing exploration.
YVONNE VAN DEN HERIK is visual artist: drawing is her favourite, preferably with indian ink and brush on paper or with a pressure sensitive pen on a digital tablet (freehand).
All works in the wanderdrawing project are a tribute to VISUAL SPATIAL THINKING and VISUAL LANGUAGE. Object is to experiment with knowledge and skills focusing on this visual spatial working approach and to find out more about both process and results by study, observation and above all by practical experience.
Start of the project was early 2010: Van den Herik developed a first CONCEPT for visual art reviews, in preparation of the VISUAL NOTES ON ART ('Kunst van de Dag'), she published as special guest at galeries.nl every day in May. 'Special' because of visually -instead of verbally- reflecting on artworks.
